Dimokratia Michalopoulos (Demi) is a Chicago native and grew up on the southwest side in a big Greek family. In 2018, she received her 200 Hour Certification to teach yoga and has been teaching ever since. Demi is also the Artistic Director and lead facilitator with Imagination Theater, a participatory theater company that teaches students about social issues and healthy well being. When she is not teaching, Demi works as a professional singer and plays in several bands around the city including her own acoustic trio. She feels very lucky to be able to do what she loves.
