High Energy, Challenging Quadrant

Emotions: Angry, Frustrated, Anxious, Scared, Nervous, Panicked

In this quadrant, we are looking to smooth out the bumps in our energy. We can feel really fiery and it can be hard to maintain our positivity. When we are in this heightened state it’s easy for us to lash out and express these challenging feelings outward, possibly to others.

Poses like Uttanasana (forward fold) place our heads below our heart, helping with blood flow to the brain. This flow is like a stream of water, washing away the extra fiery sensations and allowing us to process whatever action brought us to these emotions.
